Urban Kiz Level 1
Urban Kizomba (or Urban Kiz) is a modern, dynamic partner dance characterized by smooth, linear movements, playful tempo changes, and deep connection. In this class, we focus on building confidence in the essential techniques, starting with core steps and proper lead posture, before moving into more intricate body isolations and musical interpretation. This supportive class includes partner rotations to ensure you feel comfortable leading or following, making it perfect for absolute beginners or experienced dancers looking to refine their skills. No partner is necessary, come ready to find your flow!
Shuffle Class
At first sight, it seems like the person is running while smiling and having a good time. To dance music fans, shuffling is more than just having a good time. As with most things EDM-related, it is a form of self expression, an accomplishment, and as some put it “a way to improve their mental and physical health”.The Shuffle dance was developed in the 1980s, it is improvised dancing where the person repeatedly “shuffles” the feet inwards, then outwards, while thrusting their arms up and down, or side to side, in time with the beat.
Resistance Remix (In Person)
Resistance remix is a high energy, full body strength class that blends multiple training styles to keep your workouts fresh, effective, and anything but boring. Using a dynamic mix of resistance. Using a mix of modalities such as resistance bands, free weights, slamballs, TRX suspension training, bodyweight and even boxing bags. This calls is designed to build strength, improve stability, and boost muscular endurance.
Expect a circuity style format with creative combinations that challenge you core, sculpt your upper and lower body, and keep you heart rate elevated. You may rotate through stations that include strength training, explosive power movements, and boxing inspired intervals. Perfect for all fitness levels, Resistance Remix offer options to modify or intensify movements so you can train at your own pace.
Kizomba Level 1
Take your dance skills to the next level with kizomba dance classes designed for the beginner dancer. You'll build on current kizomba skills while learning new steps, variations and body movements. This South African dance of Angola includes several other dances that derived from the original, including semba.
Kizomba Level 2
Take your dance skills to the next level with kizomba dance classes designed for the intermediate dancer. You'll build on current kizomba skills while learning new steps, variations and body movements. This South African dance of Angola includes several other dances that derived from the original, including semba.
Swerve Hip Hop Fitness (In person and Virtual)
A cardio based dance fitness class which is power-packed, calorie-burning and results-oriented while providing an element of fun.
Salsa on 1
You will learn the basic movements and fundamentals of Salsa to get you out onto the dance floor. This includes basic steps, basic turns, and movement around the floor. The class will involve dancing in partnership and individual dancing as well.
